We come from various walks of life, from different countries and different backgrounds but we have the same goal – Serving God with the best of our abilities. By the grace of God we are committed to make the IYC2020 a success and a blessing to all participants.
Adrian Finaru has met Jesus at the young age of 18 and became passionate about sharing with others what the Lord had done for him and how He had mercy on him. He believes that working for others has kept him motivated and enthusiastic amid trials and temptations. He is convinced that every young person can reach his/her maximum potential as long as they focus on Christ and on the purpose He has for everyone of them. His greatest joy, when he is home, comes from spending time with his wife in nature and from telling travel stories to his daughter and son. When he travels, his greatest joy is to see young people surrender their lives to Jesus and consecrate their talents to His service. His favorite Bible text is 2 Corinthians 5:15 and his favorite inspired book is Desire of Ages, by Ellen G White.
I live with my husband Alexander in Austria. Together we have three wonderful children who are part of the youth here in Austria. My hobbies are taking pictures and making music. I love my profession as a social pedagogue because I can teach children there as well. For 17 years now, I have been allowed to serve as youth leader with the youth of seventh day adventist reform movement work and it still gives me so much joy as on the first day! It’s nice to spend time with the youth and to accompany them on their way of life. I am pleased that in 2020 we can welcome the international youth in our beautiful country.
Once upon a time a small group of young people were courageous enough to come and preach the gospel in Montenegro. They were determined, brave and persistent. They didn’t give up. Because of their efforts I met Jesus at age 21. Since then I’m very grateful for the life, family and friends I have. My life was not always easy …but with His support I also didn’t give up. For many years I served as a youth leader in Montenegro, Serbia, Germany and now in Austria. To live an abundant life means to me sharing my experiences with the young people. To give back what I generously received. This is why I’m “drawing” the same story about the Creator of Life all over again. As a concept artist I like to use illustrations and pictures or visualisation in my classes. This saying inspires me in spiritual and business life: “A picture is worth a thousand words.” I’m very glad to be your host here in Austria!
I was born and raised here in Austria. After living a life in sin and walking in complete darkness, I got to know the light of this world, Jesus Christ, who turned my life one-eighty. Since then I am enjoying the walk with Jesus every day. The Lord gave me my lovely and wonderful wife Jana and two precious gifts, my daughter Hanna and my newborn son Elias. My favorite moments are when I can spend time with them. Very early after my conversion I realized that my desire is to work for the Lord. After my studies I received the call to work as a bible worker. It is my passion to point people to Jesus. I had the privilege to serve as a youth leader in Austria for many years. The work with the youth is a blessing and what the potential they have fascinates me. “With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world! How soon might the end come—the end of suffering and sorrow and sin!” Education, p.271 I am looking forward to meet you at the IYC2020 and to get to know you in person.
I am currently living and working for the church here in Austria. I am also the current youth Department Leader for this field. I am really passionate about sharing the love of God to young people and young at heart. In my life I had the privilege to live in several other countries such as, Romania, Hungary short time in Germany then New Zealand and Australia. I speak all of these languages and learning german now which makes it a bit easier to connect with young people from various backgrounds. I am married with two young children and we are all excited to live in this country which from the landscape point of view remind us a bit of heaven. Along with the team we are really looking forward to welcoming you all at our IYC 2020 and pray that this event will be a blessing to us all and will bring us closer to each other and God.
